Good morning, my friends! It's good to have a chance to stop by and visit with you for just a few minutes. I know you're all very busy, so I won't take long. But I do want to keep you informed as to what is going on in our women's ministry.
Babies--that's what's going on! (No, not from me. This is NOT an impending birth announcement!) Chrissy had Braxton a few weeks ago, and Laura Cornils gave birth to Archer last week. Not to mention that Kristen Steele will be having a little girl very soon. In addition to our new mommies being given a gift card from Women's Ministry as an expression of our happiness for them, we also like to provide meals for these new moms. Those of you who have had a child may remember what an exhausting, wearing time it was right after your baby was born. For our new moms, not having to worry about preparing dinner for their family is a huge boon.
I provide you with an opportunity to sign up to provide meals through a website. We currently need a meal for tomorrow night (Wednesday) for the Cornils family, who live in Forest Grove. I'd love to have more of you involved in bringing meals so that we don't have the same women doing it each time. It's truly a blessing to you, as well as to the family, when you serve in this way. It doesn't have to be fancy, or even homemade. If you'd like to help for tomorrow night, just follow this link.

And if someone else beats you there, know that you'll soon have another opportunity!
Oh, I want to let you know some really good news. Those of you who were at our retreat last month will remember that instead of doing gifts for Secret Sisters we combined our money for World Vision. We contributed $285 that weekend! At the mini retreat this past weekend, we added another $60 from the women there. So that gives us a grand total of $345. What's really great is that this will be augmented times ten by different corporations to provide new clothing for children around the world. So in effect, by choosing to give up a little gift from one of the women at either retreat, we were able to give $3,450. Doesn't that feel good??!
Both Common Grounds and The Perk meet this week. I think you all probably know the details about both those Bible studies. If you have any questions, just ask me. (My contact information is always included at the end of the WOW-Zine.) This week Barbara is bringing treats for our Wednesday night study, and Cassie for Thursday morning, with Carol G. acting as our MIC. We're all being challenged as we learn to Cultivate Contentment.
I told you this WOW-Zine would only take a couple minutes to read. However, it takes longer to act upon! I hope you choose to help with a meal, attend a Bible study, and participate in some of the different opportunities we provide throughout the year. My team met last night, and we'll have a couple fun things going on throughout the summer, so I'll let you know about those later.
Until next week,
