Both Common Grounds and The Perk, which are our women's Bible study groups, will resume on Thursday, September 10th. Yes, you read that right. Both groups will meet on Thursdays this year. (That frees the youth group to be able to meet in the sanctuary on Wednesday evenings and have the space they need for their activities.) So those of you who used to come on Wednesday nights will need to start programming your brain AND your calendar to come on Thursday nights instead.
This evening is the One Heart: PDX concert for women and teen girls only. Apparently tickets are still available online, as well as at the door. Here's the info:

The Music… The Music…Three unique and influential Portland artists are coming together to provide the music for ONE HEART: PDX. The evening will include original tunes from all three singer/songwriters ranging from soul to indie and folk sounds, as well as classic hymns and worship songs. This will be a fresh collaboration you will not want to miss.

The Speakers…Are some really amazing women who are vibrant, real, authentic and from right here in Portland. They are speakers, teachers, bloggers, writers, ministry leaders and prayer warriors, who are chasing after the heart of Christ.

The Food…There will be fabulous light bites, tapas and appetizers catered by The Lambs Table starting at 6 pm. Sweet treats will be served during intermission. All included in the ticket price.
The Purpose…How can we stop judging, comparing, and critiquing? Let’s have a conversation on how to encourage, support and build-up.
