Good morning, ladies! It was great to be away on vacation, but, as always, nice to be back home. Not only did we brave the heat of Redding (In-and-Out Burger helped!), but we drove 19-hours in one fell swoop. I really think there should be some kind of prize for that! A big thanks to Amy Rusaw for filling in for me as teacher for both Bible studies that week. It's nice to know I left you in very capable hands.
Speaking of our Bible studies, if you didn't hear this announcement at church Sunday or read it in the Wapato Weekly yesterday, Common Grounds is cancelled for the rest of the summer, beginning this week. People's schedules have just got too busy on these mid-summer evenings, so we're stopping a few weeks early. We will resume in the fall. For those of you who have attended Common Grounds in the past, feel free to join us at The Perk on Thursday mornings at 9:30 if you're able. The Perk will continue to meet throughout the month of July, with our last class on the 30th. (Also resuming in the fall.) Childcare is provided, so please bring a couple dollars to pay our young ladies that watch your children. Carol R. has signed up for treats this week.
We don't have any special events planned for this summer, but are always open to a spontaneous activity. So if you'd like to go for a hike or spend a day at the beach, and you don't want to go by yourself, just let me know. I can quickly send off an invitation to everyone and we can have an impromptu party!
Until next week,
